Griggs Creek Restoration and Rehabilitation Exotic Tree Removal

⁠⁠⁠ The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing 2.00pm on Wednesday 21 December 2016 from experienced contractors for the restoration, rehabilitation and tree removal works at Griggs Creek.

The works in this contract include pruning and removal of trees as shown or implied in the drawings and specification including site reinstatement at completion of works. The works in this contract include, but are not limited to:
* Removal of large mature Pine, Cypress and Willow Trees.
* Grinding of accessible stumps including reinstatement and compaction using approved soil to minimise potential future bank erosion.
* Habitat pruning, dead wooding and weight reduction of native and indigenous trees in accordance with AS4373.
* Removal and herbicide application to remove smaller unsurveyed exotic tree species larger than 30mm dbh from the creek channel.
* Removal and reinstatement of farm fencing as disturbed during works.
* Reinstatement of grass and other park landscape works if disturbed during works.

Mandatory Criteria
* The tenderer must hold as minimum a AQF Level 3 Arboriculture qualification.

Mandatory Site Inspection
Please be advised that Council will conduct a mandatory site inspection at 10.00am, Tuesday 6 December 2016.

The meeting location is 1-5 Beach Vista Drive, Curlewis.

Prospective tenderers must attend this site inspection. Failure of a tenderer to attend will result in their tender being excluded as a non-conforming tender.

Council representatives will be present to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process. Refer to the Tender documents for site location details.

Tenderers are required to notify Council of their attendance by emailing Adrian Rainbow beforehand at arainbow@geelongcity.vic.gov.au

The tender evaluation panel will consider the details of the tenderer's OH&S system provided in or in response to Schedule 7 of the documents attached.

Tenders which do not contain details of OH&S systems which meet the minimum required standards will not be considered for the contract.
