Transmission Tower Refurbishment

⁠⁠⁠Ausgrid requires the contracted services of a company capable of providing the required refurbishment works on Transmission Towers throughout Ausgrid's franchise area. This includes, but is not limited to all relevant skills and qualifications of all relevant personnel.

The successful company is required to provide holistic services including: site preparation; preparation and re-coating all members; excavation of buried concrete footings; establishment of drainage channels; replacement of damaged and/or corroded steel members; replacement of damaged and/or corroded nuts, bolts, washers; replacement of tower step bolts; recording and certifying all works; any minor design required for any and all the above; and supply of all materials to achieve the above, while in control of all aspects of the works engaged as the Principal Contractor.

The term for the contacted services will be for an initial two year period (estimated to be January 2016 through to December 2017) subject to tender evaluation, negotiations, contract award being undertaken and completed in a timely manner. Based on the performance quality of the successful company and at Ausgrid's absolute discretion, two one-year extensions will be offered.

A mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held at: 48-50 Holker Street, Silverwater NSW 2128, at 11.00 am, Tuesday 24 November 2015. All prospective respondents must attend this meeting. This pre-tender meeting will include a presentation and a site trip to a nominated transmission tower. Attendees must be able to transport themselves from the presentation to the site.

A maximum of two representatives from each company can be accommodated and prospective respondents must register their intention to attend the pre-tender by 4.00 pm no later than one working day before the meeting.
