Tender Description
The Works comprise:
Demolition of existing playgrounds, drainage and levelling, construction of hard landscape items, installation of Council supplied and Contractor supplied and fabricated fixtures, various playground surfaces, irrigation, top soiling, planting and grassing. A 3 month plant establishment is required after practical completion.
Supervision of playground installation contractors engaged by Council is required. Handling and disposal of contaminated soil is required.
There are two sites; Princes Park and Bellair Street. The Tenderer may submit a price for each of the playgrounds or submit a price for only one play ground. The Tenderer may also submit a price to construct both playgrounds as one package.
Tenderers are required to establish in their tender that:
1. Contaminated soils can be managed to meet statutory requirements.
2. Works can be constructed to a high standard; evidence of similar works must be provided.
3. Trees and other parks assets will be protected from harm during works.
4. Site management allows for proximity to a railway and high profile public open space.
