Project Overview
Donald Project Pty Limited is a joint venture between Astron Corporation Limited and US-based critical minerals company Energy Fuels Incorporated is developing the Donald Rare Earth and Mineral Sands Project which represents an important new source of global supply at a time of growing demand for critical minerals required for renewable energy production and storage. The Project represents a Tier One deposit in terms of scale, with an expected mine life of at least 58 years and the value of mineral assemblage, notably the rare earth and zircon content.
The Donald Project will restore agricultural productivity through careful soil management and progressive land rehabilitation. The project will deploy modern mining methods and proven rehabilitation techniques to return the land to productive agriculture.
Scope of Work
The Donald Project is a Greenfields mineral sands operation in Victoria, Australia.
All design works will be provided by the Donald Project.
Scope relates to Non-Process Infrastructure supporting operations with a delivery method of bulk supply, construction and commissioning.
Scope Scale (Indicative):
• 2 x LV switchboards
• 15km of sitewide pipework
• 8 x pump stations
• Civil trenching & concrete installation
• 4 x Sets of Demountable buildings with associated slabs
• Diesel tank farm.
Targeted schedule:
• Award: Nov 2026
• Mobilisation: Jan 2027
• Completion: Mar 2028
