Tender Description
The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) brings together Victoria’s local government, environment, energy, suburban development, forests, emergency management, climate change and water functions into a single department to strengthen connections between the environment, community, industry and the economy.
The Department is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) T2026-0216 for the supply of one Mobile Laundry Container. The Mobile Laundry Container is part of the Department’s base camp facilities.
The base camp facilities are designed as self-contained modules that can be rapidly uplifted and transported across the state to support a developing emergency event. A major use of the containers will be at base camps for bushfire response within Victoria. Base camps of this type typically occur during Victoria’s extreme summer conditions i.e., when the ambient temperature is high (up to 30 to 40+ degrees) and/or wind is strong (up to 80km/hr) – Victoria’s Peak Summer Conditions. These units must be appropriately designed for this purpose .
