Aquatic Servicing and Maintenance

This project is designed to maintain the continuous and efficient operation of the Town of Port Hedland aquatic facilities equipment and plant situated at South Hedland Aquatic Centre (SHAC) and the Gratwick Aquatic and Fitness Centre (GAC), while maintaining a very high standard of water quality for all community members to enjoy. The ongoing service agreement and maintenance plan will prevent any long-term facility shutdowns and disruption of aquatic services due to plant and equipment failures.

Town aquatic facilities are a critical component of the Towns community infrastructure, they promote health, wellbeing, social interaction, and water safety. Aquatic facilities provide the opportunity to teach and learn a skill for life through Swim School, and Swim squad, Water polo, and are a home for many local community groups.
