Provision of Talbot ANA Hall Restumping Works

Talbot is a historic township renowned for its well-preserved buildings dating back to the mid-19th century, reflecting the region’s gold rush heritage.

The ANA Hall, an extension of the Talbot Town Hall, is a timber weatherboard structure believed to have been relocated to its current site in the mid-1800s. The building is widely used by local community groups and holds significant heritage and social value. Over time, the structure has experienced various alterations and ongoing maintenance issues, particularly relating to the condition of its timber footings.

The Central Goldfields Shire Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified contractors, or consortia of contractors, to remove and replace the existing stumps. The works are intended to improve the building’s structural stability and ensure its continued use, in accordance with relevant building codes, heritage considerations, and industry standards.
