Tender Description
The Ministry of Education, on behalf of Naenae College, is seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from suitably qualified Main Contractors to deliver roofing replacement works on Blocks YB, YC, YR and R.
The Contract Works include:
- Full replacement of existing roofing systems
- Asbestos removal (Class A/B contractor)
- Timber remediation as required
- New long-run metal roofing, flashings, spouting and downpipes
- Window replacements where indicated
- Internal works in areas affected by seismic strengthening
- All temporary works, scaffolding, fall protection and internal protection
The School will remain operational, with limited spare teaching spaces, requiring careful staging around school terms. Some high-impact works are expected to occur during holiday periods.
Construction is expected to commence no earlier than April 2026, with completion anticipated in 2027.
This ROI will shortlist suppliers for a closed RFT.
A Building Consent Amendment is being prepared; amended documents will be issued at RFT stage.
