External painting works at Telangatuk Hall

The Horsham Rural City Council invites suitably qualified contractors to submit a quotation for the exterior painting works at Telangatuk Hall. The project involves repainting the weatherboard exterior walls of the single-storey building, with an estimated surface area of approximately 230 m². The last painting was completed about eight years ago, and some sections are now peeling, with several weatherboards requiring repair or replacement during the repainting program. All painting works must comply with relevant Australian standards and manufacturer specifications.

The preferred paint is Dulux Gloss Acrylic Weathershield or Wattyl Gloss Solagard Exterior Paint or an equivalent high-quality exterior paint, to be approved by the Project Officer prior to use. All surfaces are to be sanded, prepared, and painted in accordance with manufacturer instructions, including grinding and removing all flaking paint, filling cracks to a solid base, and replacing any damaged weatherboards as required, with associated costs to be listed separately.

The quotation should include provisions for the use of a scissor lift if required, detail all coats and paint types as per manufacturer’s guidelines, and ensure the implementation of appropriate site barricades and traffic safety measures for the duration of the works.

No formal site visit will be organised for this project, however the hall is publically accessible if contractors would like to conduct their own on site assessment.
