Project goals
Large Regulators of the Koondrook Perricoota project is part of the wider SLAM (Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism) Program to improve environmental water flows.
SDLAM seeks to address both current critical water shortages, as well as establish infrastructure and processes which ensure the future environmental and economic sustainability of the Murray-Darling Basin. The objective of the SDLAM Program is to achieve similar or improved environmental outcomes for rivers, wetlands and wildlife using less water as part of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. Project goals are to,
- improve the efficiency of how water is delivered (for example, building and improving water management structures
- deliver more efficient water use practises to save water for the environment
- remove constraints (and physical barriers) that impact the ability to deliver water into the Murray Darling Basin and where it is need most
Scope
The works in the Koondrook Perricoota – Large Regulators Project are broken into three individual project sites:
- Thule Lake Regulator.
- Bookit Regulator.
- Merribit Regulator.

A mandatory tender briefing and site visit will occur on Thursday 25 September.
- Location: Rich River Golf Club, Twenty Four Ln, Moama NSW 2731
- Time: 8am (all day - includes site inspection)
