Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's (DFAT) Cyber Affairs and Critical Technology Branch is seeking to engage a trusted industry partner to deliver a cloud environment for a Pacific nation government.

Phase one of the cloud transformation would establish a new public cloud environment hosted securely in the Pacific region. The cloud environment will provide a foundational capability and key learnings to inform the Pacific nation’s plans to adopt a whole-of-government cloud computing and storage capability. It will also migrate one ‘portal’ into the landing zone to also deliver essential technical artefacts.

A second phase of work would expand cloud adoption and migrate three further 'portals' onto the landing zone. This would also finalise all core policy artefacts, including a data classification framework with enhanced security controls. This phase will underpin responsible data management, enabling the secure migration of sovereign data.

A third phase of work, occurring throughout the program of work, would see the partner working with the Pacific nation to roll out recently procured ICT hardware to ensure they are ‘cloud-ready’ for the completion of the program. It would also see continued hands-on training and knowledge sharing in order to empower the Pacific nation’s staff through targeted, practical training for sustainable cloud operations.
