Next Generation Public Transport Management System (PTMS) - Open Market RfEOI to gain insight on available technologies / innovations / market capabilities / cost / project delivery time frames.
Project goals
Transport for NSW is conducting a Stage 1 Open Market Request for Expressions of Interest (RfEOI) for a Next Generation Public Transport Management System (PTMS). The purpose of this activity is to scope out the market for viable technologies and innovations in this space, understand supplier/market capabilities to implement a fit for purpose solution, and gain insight on indicative costs and project time frames. Information gained from Stage 1 will inform any subsequent stage(s).
Public Transport Management System (PTMS) primarily functions as an integration hub and message relay/converter between transport operators and internal Transport systems. PTMS key functions include integration and translation of timetable and real-time data from data operators. The platform plays a critical role in supporting public transport service scheduling and operations by managing real-world multimodal transport services. Key Functions include:

- Integrated Service Planning
- Interchange & Transfer Management
- Passenger Information & Trip Planning
- Service Monitoring
- Incident & Event Management
Scope
Scope includes:
- design, deliver and commission and /or customise a PTMS SIRI broker service. The broker shall facilitate the exchange of timetable and real-time public transport data among various stakeholders, including operating agencies and internal data consumers.
- migrate operators and data.
- execute and manage testing/validation of systems, interfaces, data and features to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are satisfied.
- provide training encompassing all impacted stakeholders and systems.
- provide operational and maintenance support of the system including services desk capability.
- post implementation, provide system development services to enhance the broker as requested by TfNSW from time to time.
Additional details/instructions
- A market briefing event will be offered to all Proponents, scheduled on Thursday 21August. Details will be published in the RfEOI event in the Ariba portal.
- You do not need to be registered on the mandated ICT Services Scheme (SCM0020) to access this RfEOI event.

Opportunity requirements
1. Conditions for Participation Separable Portion 1
Proponent is registered or willing to be registered on the ICT Services Scheme(SCM0020) as an advanced supplier, if invited for any subsequent stage.
Proponent agrees that if successful in any subsequent stages, to enter into a contract with TfNSW using the mandated ICTA contracting framework.
Respondent's key personnel, including those with close touch points with TfNSW's project and BAU teams, must be available and able to operate within the NSW time zone.
