Tender Description

Strathbogie Shire Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractor to fulfil Contract 24-25-20 - Risk_Assessment_of_Assets_in_Floodways_in_Strathbogie_Shire.

The Shire of Strathbogie is undertaking the Floodway Risk Project in response to the increasing impacts of climate change, which have resulted in more frequent and intense rainfall events. The primary aim of this project is to ensure the safety of the community and emergency services by identifying and mitigating risks associated with Council-owned assets located within the floodway. Through a thorough assessment, each asset will be inspected and assigned a risk rating, enabling the Council to prioritise and implement necessary safety improvements.

Strathbogie shire has several assets in the floodway. Currently many of these assets are not maintained to the required level of service. The purpose of this project is to identify and assess the assets and prepare a five-year plan for a systematic delivery of the required upgrade works.

The project is to engage a suitably qualified consultant to inspect and assess the assets within the Strathbogie Shire area. The successful consultant is to inspect at least 50 sites identified by Assets Department and prepare a risk matrix based onsite inspection. A 5 year project delivery plan is also to be prepared for Council to allocate appropriate funding for the construction works.
