REQUESTED SERVICE

The University of Sydney is seeking applicants with retail experience to participate in a Request for Tender process to operate a cafe located at University's Camden Campus. The cafe will be expected to offer cafe-style food, including healthy options, at affordable prices for students, staff & visitors to campus.

BACKGROUND

The Liz Kernohan Conference Centre, located on the Camden Campus and owned by the University of Sydney, features a cafe situated in the foyer near a 250-seat lecture theatre. This theatre is frequently used by both the Agriculture and Veterinary Science Faculties.

During academic semesters, the Camden Campus hosts approximately 500 students and staff, along with around 150 on-campus residents. Visitor numbers from the nearby veterinary hospital and local community are not recorded.

The cafe includes a central servery, indoor and outdoor seating for up to 50 patrons, and a fully equipped kitchen with a preparation area. The kitchen is fitted with a kitchen exhaust system, grease trap, and various cooking appliances.

The cafe retail space is located in the foyer of the Liz Kernohan Conference Centre, 415 Werombi Rd, Brownlow Hill NSW 2570

PROJECT TIMING

The RFT will be released in May 2025. The date of release will be communicated to participating Respondents at a later stage.

RFT will close 2 weeks after the release date.

The University will assess RFT responses and award the contract in June 2025 to the applicant assessed as most suitable to provide the services.
