Northern Beaches Council invites tenders for the provision and operation of markets at North Narrabeen Reserve.

About

Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. The Council is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service to the local community. Northern Beaches Council is working closely with the community to build strategies that enhance quality of life, promote sustainable development and protect the environment.

The Reserve is Council land, located at 1472 to 1518 Pittwater Road, Warriewood, NSW. The Reserve is a regional community, sport and recreation precinct and home to local sports including AFL, rugby union, baseball, and touch football clubs. A weekly (Friday) produce and high-quality merchandise market has been operating successfully at this Reserve for several years under a licence arrangement with Council.

Purpose

Council is seeking to continue to provide the community with a weekly vibrant outdoor shopping and entertainment experience at the Reserve and to provide local businesses with opportunities to participate.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Operation of a weekly (Friday) produce and high-quality merchandise market at North Narrabeen Reserve

Contract Terms and Conditions

The Contract term will be a maximum of 6 years, being an initial period of two (2) years with the potential of two (2) extensions of two (2) years each at Council's sole discretion.

Weighted selection criteria:

• Demonstrated past experience of the Tenderer, Personnel and Subcontractors (Schedule F3, F5, F10 and F11): weighted 20%
• Business Plan (Schedule F14): weighted 40%
• The Licence Fee offer (Schedule F18): weighted 40%

Submissions should be lodged in the electronic tender box or in the physical tender box at Northern Beaches Council, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099 by the time and date nominated. Late submissions may not be accepted.
