Northern Grampians Shire Council seeks tenders from suitably qualified contractors for processing of food and garden organic waste collected at 1,170 residential properties in the township of St Arnaud. Organic waste material is collected by council’s waste contractor and transported to the St Arnaud Transfer Station for processing.

This RFT calls for a contractor to safely store and handle, sort and remove contaminates, and process the organic waste material to produce an environmentally suitable soil conditioner, mulch and or compost products, at council’s St Arnaud Transfer Station (TFS).

The Northern Grampians Shire is located in the picturesque Grampians region of Victoria and covers an area of 5,918 square kilometres. It borders the Grampians National Park, Wimmera Plains (west), Mallee Plains (north) and the Pyrenees Region (east). The major towns are Stawell and St Arnaud and the villages are Great Western, Halls Gap, Navarre, Glenorchy, Marnoo and Stuart Mill. St Arnaud is located 240km North West of Melbourne.
