Description
The NSW Migrant Workers Centre will see community legal centres and unions partner together to deliver support for at risk workers is culturally sensitive and accessible.
Project goals
The objectives of the program are:
- to ensure the delivery and coordination of information, education, advice and assistance to NSW migrant workers who experience workplace and/or, immigration issues and/or possible modern slavery;
- to ensure migrant workers, including in NSW regional, rural, and remote communities, have equitable access to services regardless of their backgrounds, visa status, sector of work, or geographic location;
- to advocate on policy issues that impact migrant workers.
