Tender Description

The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver a National Service for Non-offending Family Members of Child Sexual Abuse Perpetrators (the Service). The Service was announced as part of the Australian’s Government’s National Strategy to Prevent and Respond Child Sexual Abuse 2021-2030 – First National Action Plan, Measure 10, which contributes to Attorney-General’s Department’s Outcome 1, Program 1.4 Justice Services.

The Service grant program (the program) will run over 3 years from 2026–27 to 2028–29.

The objective of the Service is to reduce child sexual abuse-related harms by providing free, nationally available support for non-offending family members of child sexual abuse perpetrators, and working with other government and non-government agencies, including Commonwealth, state and territory law enforcement, to enhance engagement with this group. The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to:

  • support and empower non-offending family members to manage the impacts of child sexual abuse
  • provide non-offending family members with access to high-quality, trauma informed services, resources and coordinated system responses
  • increase awareness and understanding of the needs and impacts on non-offending family members.

The Service will provide support to and advocacy for non-offending family members at the time of crisis and through ongoing periods of adjustment, recovery and healing. Non-offending family members will be able to access safe, inclusive and responsive emotional and therapeutic support through a range of service channels, including an online peer support forum and national helpline.
