The grant opportunity (GO) will fund an organisation/s for the establishment and early operations of a National Mental Health Carer, Family and Kin Peak Body to support and represent mental health carer, family and kin perspectives at a national level.
The purpose of this GO is to embed diverse lived experience leadership and perspectives throughout the mental health and suicide prevention system.
The GO will provide funding of $3,755,000.00 (GST exclusive) from 2023-24 to 2025-26. The key objective of this GO is to establish a representative body that will ensure people with lived and/or living experiences as carers, families and kin of those with mental health needs can collectively shape the policies, services, programs and systems that affect them.
