Tender Description
The Primary Clarifier at Blackwater STP is approximately 30 years old and requires refurbishment of most elements to extend the asset life. Majority of the fittings bolted onto the rotating bridge require replacing and the bridge itself requires at a minimum sandblasting and recoating. The V-notch around the launder of the clarifier is also very badly corroded and requires replacing.
One of the supports for one scraper in the clarifier had snapped off due to corrosion. Clarifier was drained in January 2024 to repair, and a full inspection of this asset was conducted to see full extent of future repairs. Pictures are available on request. As part the RFQ, there will be a site visit conducted on Wednesday 28/02/2024 at 12:00 so all applicants can fully understand the scope of these works however the site visit is not compulsory but advisable to attend.
