Your opportunity to help define the future direction for examinations at the RACP. Fellows and Trainees are encouraged to join the newly formed Cross-College Examination Review Advisory Group.
Description
If you are a current RACP member with the following skills and interests, you are encouraged to apply:
- Knowledge of or interest in the current state of RACP’s examinations
- Experience as an active member of a committee or working group (RACP committee or similar)
- Motivation and ability to represent the interests of a particular stakeholder group, if applicable (e.g., trainees)
Key Responsibilities
This Cross-College Examination Review Advisory Group will comprise up to 12 members and contribute to joint discussion and decision-making to:
- Explore ways to apply contemporary education and assessment methodologies to the future of RACP examinations.
- Review the place and nature of examinations as infrequent point-in-time high stakes assessments within a system of assessment.
Members will be expected to:
- Attend all Committee meetings
- Understand the range of examinations held across the College
- Review agendas and papers prior to meetings
- Contribute to joint discussions
- Agree to joint decision-making for recommendations
Members will serve a 3-year term and will be selected from Divisions, Faculties, or Chapters. Eligible applicants include Fellows, Advanced Trainees, and Basic Trainees. Monthly online meetings are anticipated, beginning with the initial meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 13 March 2024.
Meeting participation is officially recorded and verified and eligible for category 1 CPD hours.
