Tender Description

The purpose of the WUC is to design, procure, construct, test, and commission works related to the HBH Pen Entrance Beautification and Landscaping Works. The extent of works is generally limited to the immediate area surrounding the pen set.

The Works are predominantly hard landscaping however, also include soft landscaping utilizing native coastal planting which has the best chance of survival in the harsh coastal environment.

A summary of the scope of works for the landscaping work is as follows:

  • Minor earthworks that include cut and fill as well as subgrade compaction and grading works;
  • Pavement installation works according to the designed brick paving layout and align levels with existing adjacent pavement level;
  • Vegetation that includes planter bed and swale planting;
  • Edge profiling to enable paving installation partly over the existing revetment;
  • Installation of furniture and minor structures including bollards, balustrades, picnic setting, shade shelter, trellis system, gate entrance artwork, and other elements indicated in the attached concept drawing;
  • Irrigation works;
  • Vinyl wrapping of the existing services cabinet; and
  • Existing carpark modification to consider PWD / ACROD requirements and align with the adjacent garden.
  • Demolish existing concrete slab (see Section 1.2 of Preliminaries Specification) to allow for the construction of the footpath widening. Approximate size is 8.30m x 1.60m x 150mm thick (Note: Services cabinet within the demolition footprint will be relocated by others);
  • Minor local modification of the revetment equivalent to installation of limestone rock(s) effectively patching up if a gap is formed after the removal of existing slab identified in Item (ix);
  • Removal and offsite disposal of the existing concrete slab in item (ix); and,
  • Relocate existing HDPE main fire water line (see Section 1.2 of Preliminaries Specification), to allow for the construction of footpath widening. The intention is to move the current HDPE pipe parallel to the pavement further to the seaside. Final position of the relocated HDPE pipe should be just beside the new widened footpath, or as directed by the Superintendent.
  • Provisional Items:
  • Relocation of the existing fire booster cabinet to enable installation of a picnic setting and shade shelter; and,
  • Installation of blade fencing and related civil works for Nautica Apartments Townhouse Unit 1.
