North East Water has identified the need to renew an existing concrete drinking water tank that provides water service to the Baranduda High Level area. The existing tank has met it’s end of effective life and is to be replaced with a larger modern equivalent to accommodate growth in the area. The tank is located off a track through the Baranduda Regional Park, accessed from NEW’s Clear Water Storage site off Barton Drive in Baranduda.

To enable the tank’s replacement, NEW is seeking to upgrade the existing access track through DEECA managed crown land, demolish and remove the existing concrete tank and undertake civil works in preparation for a new tank to be constructed by others.

It is intended these works will be completed prior to 30 April 2024
