Expressions of interest are open for 1 RACP representative for the Cancer Australia: Intercollegiate Advisory Group (ICAG).
The ICAG is a strategic advisory group that supports Cancer Australia’s national leadership in cancer control by informing national approaches to reducing variations in cancer outcomes; promoting the use of best available evidence to achieve effective cancer care; identifying collaborative approaches across the system to address cancer control challenges; and providing advice on emerging issues nationally and internationally to inform Cancer Australia’s work.
Cancer Australia values the strategic and collaborative relationship we have had with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) over the years and welcomes your continued representation on ICAG. Membership of ICAG includes Presidents, Vice Presidents or Chairs from relevant professional colleges and organisations working within the Australian health system, and consumers.
Cancer Australia’s ICAG will:
- inform national approaches to reducing variations in cancer outcomes.
- promote the use of best available evidence to achieve effective cancer care.
- identify collaborative approaches across the system to address cancer control challenges across the continuum from prevention to treatment; and
- provide advice on emerging issues nationally and internationally to inform Cancer Australia’s work.
Term and commitment
- 2 face-to-face meetings annually (dates to be confirmed by Cancer Australia)
- Term of appointment will be 2 years
- As outlined in the Administrative Guidelines for Cancer Australia Advisory Groups (PDF), members of Cancer Australia Advisory Groups may be eligible to receive sitting fees and reimbursement of eligible expenses if the member falls into either of the categories outlined within the guidelines.
