Tender Description

AIMS is undertaking a project to design and build the next-generation research vessel. An important part of that project is to investigate and provide solutions to optimise vessel layout and scientific capability.

A part of AIMS' solution is to accommodate some resources in a modular, containerised capability enabling deployment on a trip-by-trip basis and also to be utilised across a range of vessels.

Worldwide research vessels are moving to this style of capability. The standard footprint is a 6 metre ISO container.

Utilising a standard footprint will enable more flexibility deployments of scientific capability, and access to more equipment from across the wider research vessel operator community.

Other Instructions:

AIMS' requirement can be broken up into three containerised configurations. AIMS invites expressions of interest from providers who can design and construct only one, two or three of these container configurations.
