Bentley Health Service Surgicentre Works Package 1 - Forward Works

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) – Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery (OMID) would like to announce the release of the Construct Only Forward Works package of works as part of the new Bentley Health Service Surgicentre (BHSS) Project.

The scope for the forward works includes civil and services works across the Bentley Health Service site as follows:

Civil works:

• Earthworks and ground improvements.
• New at-grade car parking, including stormwater drainage, and modifications to existing parking areas.
• Landscaping and irrigation including planting, new paths, and irrigation system.
• Earthworks for the creation of a building pad for the new Surgicentre building site.

Services works: (including new services, decommissioning and removal of redundant services, relocation of existing services, and dewatering for deeper services installations):

Electrical, Comms and Security:

• Power, lighting and communication services to new parking areas.
• New Car Park Equipment Communications Cubicles and CCTV integrated with the site systems.
• Reticulation of new High Voltage (HV) cables from a new Western Power HV Switch Room (by others).
• Transformers, Site Main Switch Boards, Generator Switchboards, Diesel Fuel pumps.
• Relocations of existing electrical services as required.

Mechanical

• Compound for future bulk oxygen vacuum insulated evaporator (VIE) system.
• Installation, testing and commissioning of underground high- and low-pressure oxygen (Medical Gas) pipework.
• Decommissioning of existing underground high-pressure oxygen pipework.

Hydraulic

• Potable water services including diversions of existing services and new Water Corporation connection.
• Fire (water) services diversions.
• New sewer main connection to Surgicentre building site and upgrade of existing Hospital main Sewer (including deep excavation).

Architectural / Structural works:

• Construction of new transformer room and Low Voltage Site Main Switchboard room.  

Site Visit:

A site visit will be held at Bentley Hospital Service, 18-56 Mills Street, Bentley on 25 May, 2026 10:00 AM.

A mandatory site inspection and tender briefing will be held on 25 May 2026 at 10.00 am.

The meeting place for this site inspection is Bentley Hospital Service, 18-56 Mills Street, Bentley WA 6102. Meeting at A Block front entrance outside of the building on the lawned area. Please utilise street parking on Channon Street or informal parking at the rear of the site as parking in front of A Block is reserved for patients and visitors.

The site inspection and tender briefing will provide tenderers the opportunity to clarify any tender enquiries they have in relation to the tender in person prior to the closing of the tender.

Note: The Tenderer’s representative/s attending the site inspection are required to provide their own HI-VIS (high visibility) vest and will not be granted permission for site access without a HI-VIS vest for each attendee.

The site inspection and tender briefing is limited to five (5) contractor and sub-contractor representatives in total. (A maximum of five (5) people per tenderer).

Failure to attend the tender briefing will result in the tenderer being ineligible for further consideration. A register of attendees will be maintained for the mandatory site inspection and tender briefing. The legal entity tendering must be specifically registered on the register of attendees in order for an offer to be considered valid from that entity.

Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
