There is a mandatory site briefing for this RFQ on Monday the 21st of September 2023 at 11:00 - 12:00pm at 4 Ewar Street, Moorabbin VIC 3189.
The City of Kingston is seeking quotations from suitably qualified contractors for the demolition of Moorabbin Youth Centre located at 4 Ewar Street Moorabbin.
Moorabbin Youth Centre has experienced serious structural failure. Due to the displacement of the parapet brickwork, two temporary make-safe props were installed at the right end pier and at the first pier in from the right end of the facade around 9 years ago.
To ensure public safety and avoid anyone tampering with the props, temporary fencing around the area of the propping has been installed alongside the footpath until the building to be demolished. The building remains in a highly vandalized state.
There is a basketball court in the centre of the building, which has a high roof supported by exposed steel roof trusses. There are lower sections at the front, rear and right end of the building, which contain stores, offices and amenities.
All works shall be completed in accordance with the documents provided in the Schedule of Attachments.
