Tender Description
Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to construct the trail along the Main Street West and Jacks Road Reserve. The trail will be a 2m wide shared path, with a spray seal surface.
As well as trail construction there are ancillary items included in the scope of works including driveway and heavy vehicle farm gate crossovers, drainage, regulatory and warning signage, and road crossing handrails. Works in this corridor will require close management for onsite safety - road users, pedestrians, contractors, and subcontractors; native vegetation protection and removal; and working near power, NBN, gas lines.
Please note that this is one of three Construction Packages for this Project. Council’s intention is to award the three packages to separate contractors due to the tight timeframe associated with the project.
A mandatory pre-tendering briefing will be held for this project at 10.30 AM – Tuesday 29th of August. The tender briefing will commence from the carpark of the Rutherglen Visitor Information Centre (57 Main Street, Rutherglen).
