Tender Description
Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors for the design, supply, and installation of a deck and outlet structure in the Redmond Court Wetlands.
This is composed of a deck that will connect the existing concrete platform with a new outlet structure.
The concrete outlet structure is to have a spindle gate valve accessible from the top to allow the wetland to be drained with a penstock at the base of the pit. This should be lockable to prevent public use. The outlet pit should be accessible from the deck via a hatch (the top of the outlet pit will be lower than the deck), and therefore the deck serves both a public and maintenance role.
The inflow to the wetland will be diverted Oct/early Nov 2023 to dry out the wetland as much as possible before the above works start in Jan/Feb 2024 the following year. Only direct rainfall will fall into the wetland.
