Feasibility Document and Architectural Services
Specifically, the project will consider eight existing early years facilities in areas of the municipality highlighted as having unmet demand for kindergarten places in future and assess opportunities for capital or operational improvements to address these demand gaps (ranging from: low-cost improvements, medium and to higher cost improvements).
Completion of the project will:
Provide a guiding document that identifies site opportunities to support prioritisation for capital investment in early years infrastructure that can inform Council’s 10-year capital works program.
Support the implementation of the Community Infrastructure Plan by providing detailed design standards and guidelines that will inform the redevelopment of existing facilities.
KEY DATES:
Start: October 2023
Architect review of facilities and report on findings and opportunities: Nov/ December 2023
Preliminary design of options with costings: Jan 2024
Provide accurate data to support planning for future impacts to increased kindergarten demand.
Improve asset management practices through a strategic, coordinated and evidence-based approach to prioritising investment in Early Years infrastructure.
