Council is seeking a tender from suitably qualified and capable contractors for the redevelopment of Yallambie Pavilion & Public Toilet at 2A Moola Close, Yallambie, VIC 3085 as part of the Banyule City Council's Capital Works Program for 2023-24.
Yallambie Park is located in Yallambie, Victoria, and is the home of Banyule City "Bulls" Soccer Club. The pitch is purpose-built for football only, with a small pavilion at the south end and tennis courts behind that. The toilet block is adjacent to the pavilion.
The objective of the project is to upgrade the existing pavilion & public toilet, including reconstruction of the changing rooms, toilets, and showers to meet current compliant standards, DDA car park, renovation to the kitchen, social room, first aid room, store & cleaner room.
The scope of works generally includes but is not limited to construction activities involving:
• Mobilisation and site establishment.
• Set out of works.
• Ensuring the works are undertaken safely and in accordance with all Council, Melbourne Water, and statutory safety requirements.
• Location and protection of any and all underground and above-ground services in the works area.
• Demolition and reconstruction of existing public toilet.
• Demolition of the showers, partitions, DDA WC & store rooms, as shown in the architectural drawing no CD-102.
• Remove three trees. Allow for excavation, site stripping & any existing services to be relocated.
• Supply & plant 9 No. Replacement trees are conditioned to the Council's approval for the planning permit.
• Replace the existing vinyl with carpet tiles to match the existing one in the Social room.
• Create storerooms, first aid, match official, DDA WC & footpath.
• Repair the exiting eve of the corridor.
• Create an accessible toilet as shown in the architectural drawings; the work is included all new sanitary fixtures, vanity, wash basin, accessories, flooring, false ceilings & new doors.
• Create an undercover area next to the changing room for the viewing area.
• All electrical work, mechanical, hydraulic, structural & Civil works, as shown in the drawings.
• Construction fencing and ancillary works.
• Documentation of as-constructed information, including all inspections, testing, and survey.
• Replace the gas water heater with an electrical water heater (heat pump).
• Inspection and testing of the works.
• Site clean-up & handing over.
• The work is divided into four areas:
o Area 1: Internal modification to the existing partition & finishes.
o Area 2: New changing rooms, showers & toilets
o Area 3: Undercover viewing area, next to the changing rooms.
o Area 4: Public Toilet
