Mansfield Shire Council is seeking to engage the services of an experienced and qualified contractor to construct the Corner Apollo Street and High Street Drainage Upgrade.
The southern side of High Street near Apollo Street regularly floods due to poor drainage outfall from the site. Stormwater currently flows westerly along a combination of surface drains and a small underground piped system alongside the High Street/Maroondah Highway and into the Mullum Wetlands. Council has engaged partners to design an improved drainage system for the area surrounding the corner of Apollo Street and High Street. This resulted in large box culverts in place of pipes as per an engineering design to improve water flow through the area of small falls.
