Bendigo Kangan Institute recently engaged FG Advisory Consultants to conduct an onsite assessment of the existing Dry Fire alarm systems at our Broadmeadows, Cremorne & Bendigo (Charleson Road) campuses to see where improvements and upgrades could be made to ensure we have above standard coverage to our buildings even though they are all currently fully compliant.
FG Advisory provided BKI with a Dry Fire Review and provided risk ratings ranging between High, Medium & Low for all buildings. Facilities in consultation with Procurement and the COO agreed to work through the High Risk rated sites i:e Hospitality training kitchens and areas where the building is used for trade training such as plumbing, construction & industrial and 1x medium ratings such as the Food & Fibre Centre of Excellence at Charleston Road Bendigo as the stage 1 project in 2023/2024 and then work through the rest of the recommendations over a 2-3 year period.
