Tender Description
Victoria Police is seeking a contractor to provide Architectural Assessments Services for the Infrastructure Stream within the Conducted Energy Device (CED) Program for approximately 100 stations across Melbourne Metropolitan area.
A CED is a hand-held device that delivers an electrical current through the application of probes, which results in neuro-muscular incapacitation. Investment in CEDs enables Victoria Police to have an enhanced capability to safely resolve violent incidents with an additional tactical option. This investment aligns with the Victorian Government and Victoria Police’s commitment to keep Victoria safe, and priorities set under the Victorian Government 2019-20 Community Safety Statement.
The Infrastructure Stream within the CED Program is sourcing Architectural Assessment Services providers to deliver and lead several activities related to the infrastructure required for CEDs in the Equipment Issuing Office at the Police sites in the Melbourne Metropolitan area, including, but not limited to:
- In person site visit to each Police site (accompanied by a member of the project team).
- Providing Site Assessment Outcome Reports.
- Building Specifications documents for building works.
These services will be required to be delivered within a compressed timeline, a period of approximately three (3) months, commencing in August 2023 and concluding in November 2023.
Extensive experience in the provision of principal consultancy services in accordance with the prevailing State Government policy and procedures as well as an understanding of Victoria Police design requirements in the context of Equipment Issuing Office.
