Monash University seeks to implement a hierarchical storage management (HSM) solution to replace or improve the existing IBM Vault storage system used by Monash eResearch.
The scope of this market activity will include:
- Storage and Backup Hardware,
- Storage and Backup Software,
- Maintenance & Support services and management services if required
Monash researchers generate and store a very large amount of data as part of their day-to-day research activities. To cater for various storage requirements and the researchers' needs, the university offers three tiers of storage: Hot Storage, Warm Storage, and Cold Storage. This tender aims to replace or uplift the current cold storage tier (currently known as Vault).
