Dandenong Thunder F.C has one of the strongest supporter bases in Victoria, with home ground attendances averaging between 1,000 - 2,000 plus patrons. A thriving social media platform of 6000 plus followers, the club has a vast network to really deliver positive relations within the community. With over 300 players of all ages including three junior girl’s teams, the club caters to all and delivers professional coaching and mentoring with top-class facilities provided by the City of Greater Dandenong to provide the best possible sporting product that is safe and fun for all participants and their families.

The project objectives are:

• Construction of a veranda to shelter the Dandenong Thunder Club members and the greater community in George Andrews Reserve

• Activation of more outdoor areas surrounding the pavilion

• Engaging local businesses/ companies for material supply and developing relationships that will incorporate community engagement.
