Tender Description

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is inviting suitably experienced and qualified organisations to participate in the tender process to undertake Contracted Work described in the Project Brief of M1 Pacific Motorway Improvements at NorthConnex Project.

The purpose of the M1 Pacific Motorway Improvement at NorthConnex Project is to provide motorists with an additional lane going southbound on the M1 by removing the existing linemarking via mill and resheeting the existing asphalt pavement and re-linemarking the extent of works to accommodate an additional lane. The addition of this lane will aid in reducing congestion in the area which has been identified as an issue.

The Contractor’s general obligations include but are not limited to: 

  • Providing a skilled team, which will work collaboratively with Transport and key stakeholders to deliver contract works in line with agreed documentations and programme requirements.
  • All works within the scope, including supply of materials, plant, supervision, coordinating and sequencing are required in the performance of the Works; 
  • Establishment and maintenance of the work site including all mobilisation, demobilisation, clean-up and required amenities and on-site services;
  • Undertake all other activities and works necessary to complete the Works.
  • To successfully participate in the tender process for this project, organisations:

    1. Must execute (to the satisfaction of TfNSW) the confidentiality Deed Poll to receive the tender documents and must return to TfNSW via Tejas.Mistry@transport.nsw.gov.au by 5:00pm (AEST) Sunday, 30th April 2023.
    2. Must be prequalified under the ‘National Prequalification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction in category R1 or greater, Financial category F5 or higher and Asphalt Paving in category A2 or greater.
    3. Must attend TfNSW project pretender meeting at 01:00 PM AEDT Monday, 01st May 2023 Via Teams Link. Teams link will be provided on execution of confidentiality Deed Poll.

    All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework (NSW Framework), NSW Government Supplier Code of Conduct (NSW Code) and New South Wales Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement (NSW Guidelines).
