Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified consultants for the detailed design of the Trangie Waste Transfer Facility, involving the conversion of the existing landfill site into a modern waste transfer station. The facility will remain at the existing site; however, the design must carefully consider safe and efficient vehicle access, traffic movements, and operational functionality to support both public use and Council operations.
The successful consultant will be required to prepare a comprehensive design that considers optimal site layout, functionality, and long-term operational efficiency, including the location of key infrastructure, traffic flow, and separation of waste streams. The scope includes preparation of detailed construction drawings and specifications, as well as supporting documentation suitable for procurement and construction.
The design must prioritise ease of use for the community, safe vehicle and pedestrian access, and compliance with relevant standards and guidelines. The consultant will also be required to develop clear consultation materials to support stakeholder engagement and incorporate feedback into the final design.
