Expressions of interest are open for one member to represent RACP on the National Career Portal Working Group.
Description
The guide of the national career portal project and the progressive implementation of this action. The key functions of the NCPWG will be to consider, guide and advise on activities required to determine the content, design, and functionality of a national career portal.
The Department is looking for key expertise to be included in the membership, particularly around:
- behavioral insights and design thinking
- mentoring and career guidance
- cultural safety and growing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical workforce
- any related experience in career planning, HR, or portal/website design.
The meeting schedule for this working group is yet to be determined. Meetings will be in a hybrid format and likely on a quarterly basis. The career portal project has arisen out of a desire to support doctors make more evidence-informed decisions about their career paths. For that reason, trainees and early career Fellows with recent experience in the transition from training to specialist work are particularly encouraged to apply.
