Tender Description
Council currently has an established network of 30-35 kms of mountain bike trails available to users within the Toowoomba Region. Most of the existing trail network is located in Jubilee Park.
A Master Plan has been developed in conjunction with the Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club (TMBC) to expand the trail network, and to provide hubs at Jubilee Park and Withcott. The intent is to provide linkages from the Toowoomba Region into the township of Withcott in the Lockyer Valley Region, to assist with the development of a nationally significant bike trail network of up to 100kms.
Council is now looking to engage a contractor (or more than one contractor if resourcing and timing constraints require) to complete the detailed designs and construct the trails, including addressing all relevant requirements. The works have been separated into 2 packages (Jubilee and Prince Henry Drive Parks) which may be awarded to a single contractor (possibly as separable portions) or separate contractors.
