Consultancy Services (Architectural Design, Documentation and Superintendency)

The City of Cockburn (Principal) is seeking a suitably qualified, skilled, experienced and registered Architect (Consultant) to undertake the design and documentation of various structures and facilities for Stage 2 of the development of the proposed Cockburn Resource Recovery Park (CRRP) project in Wattleup, Western Australia. 

The Principal is currently engaged in procuring the services of a group of other specialist consultants (Secondary Consultants) to develop design and documentation for specified design components. The Consultant shall perform the role of Lead Design Consultant.

The Consultant shall be responsible for the development of the Architectural design and leading, managing and coordinating the services of the secondary consultants. 

The Consultant shall compile and integrate all designs to prepare one set of tender documentation for the procurement of a Design and Construct (D&C) contract.

The Consultant shall also be required to perform superintendency services and nominate a qualified and experienced Superintendent for undertaking contract management and administration of the D&C contract.

The Principal will appoint an in-house a Project Manager to undertake the role of the Principal’s Representative. 

The Project Manager/ Principal’s Representative (PM/PR) will work closely with the Consultant and will be the Consultant’s first point of contact with the Principal.

The proposed Contract shall be in place for a period of three (3) years from the date of award; with Principal instigated options to extend the period for a subsequent one (1) year period and up to up to twelve (12) months after that, to a maximum of five (5) years. 

This Contract is expected to commence in late May, early June 2023.
