The aim of this project is to undertake a high level feasibility assessment of potential employment generating uses that could be developed on the residual land that forms part of the former Bulleen Industrial Precinct. Future uses need to have regard to key strategic planning documents, and the surrounding neighbourhood context (following the construction of the North East Link project), with particular regard given to the nearby Yarra River and environs, and the proximity to the Heidelberg Activity Centre. It is expected that the project findings would be used to advocate to the State Government on possible land use scenarios that could be contemplated for the precinct, and form the basis for a subsequent and more detailed economic feasibility.
