Tender Description
The City of Stonnington is releasing Frameworks, our call-out to the community to complete murals within the City of Stonnington. This Street Art Mural Program commissions street art and mural installations across the municipality. Through Frameworks, the City of Stonnington hopes to deliver street art and mural installations that celebrate all artists and creatives, and create moments of beauty for all to inspire, inform, connect with, and enjoy. Murals enliven our shared public spaces, promotes public safety and minimizes graffiti and tagging.
Frameworks strives to:
-Celebrate our cultural identity
-Interpret a significant place or event
-Give us pride in our local environment
-Contribute to a sense of place-making and culture
Successful applicants will be contracted for the design and installation of one mural with traffic management and OHS support from the City of Stonnington. Applicants are encouraged to suggest a wall that they would like to complete a mural on but applicants will not be penalised if they do not have a specific wall in mind.

Applications for Frameworks opens on March 1st 2022 and close on COB 12th April 2022.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by COB 19th May 2022 and murals should be completed between Monday 3rd July 2023 and Friday 31st May 2024. Installation dates will be scheduled in collaboration with City of Stonnington staff and the artists.
