Tender Description
Melton City Council is seeking submissions from competent contractors to undertake the demolition and refurbishment works to the steam room situated at Melton Waves.
The sections of works below identify the scope of works for the project. It is mandatory that the project meet compliance regulations, any safety/structural elements and repairs necessary to ensure the building is fit for purpose.
The project scope includes but is not limited to:
Demolition:
• Isolate and disconnect services,
• Remove existing glazed curtain wall and entry door,
• Remove all fixtures - downlights, duress button, tap & steam pipe,
• Remove tiled and plastic bench seats,
• Remove ceiling and wall panels,
• Remove floor tiles & screed underlay,
• Remove waste
New Works:
• Form infill wall at steps - refer to elevation 1.4, opening to suite 920mm door,
• Apply cement-based render to block walls, ensure surfaces are even and flat,
• Supply and install powder coated aluminium glazed curtain wall/door (white),
• Glazing to be doubled glazed and in accordance with Australian standards,
• Lay screed floor, graded to floor waste (1:100),
• Apply waterproof membrane to rendered walls and screed floor (as3740),
• Waterproof membrane and tile glue to be compatible,
• Supply & install 3mm powder coated aluminium ceiling panels (white),
• Supply & lay 300x300 metz artistry grey r12 floor tiles,
• Supply & install stainless steel floor waste (square tile insert grate),
• Supply & lay 119x244 metz blink white gloss wall tiles,
• Epoxy grout tiled areas - colour to match adjacent amenities,
• Caulk internal floor and wall junction - colour to match grout,
• Supply and install new tiered fiberglass bench seats fitted with marine
• Grade stainless steel stands,
• Supply and install new led downlights, duress button and hose cock (if required)
