South Gippsland Water (SGW) invites tenders for the construction of the Korumburra Wastewater Treatment Plant Emergency Storage Lagoon Upgrade.

The Korumburra WWTP ESL Upgrade includes the construction of approximately 13.2 ML of GCL lined lagoon storage across two lagoons. Lagoon 1 (approximately 11.3 ML) is proposed to incorporate two existing lagoons, while also extending the lagoon footprint and deepening the invert level. Lagoon 2 is proposed to incorporate one existing lagoon, while also extending the lagoon footprint and deepening the invert level. Other works required include, but are not limited to:
-Construction of sections of gravity and pressure pipelines
-Construction of emergency overflow pipework and monitoring pit
-Reconnection of existing infrastructure into constructed lagoons
-Installation of pre-packaged pump stations

The works are entirely located at the Korumburra WWTP, which is owned by SGW. The WWTP will remain in operation over the duration of the works. Due to ongoing operational requirements, some amount of emergency storage is required at the WWTP for the duration of the construction process.

A mandatory site meeting and inspection will commence at 10:30am on Thursday 8th December 2022 at the Korumburra WWTP (200-210 Bena Road, Korumburra).
