Tender Description
Ararat Council wish to request a quote for the repair of the bluestone retaining wall on Vincent Street at the Alexandra gardens. This work will involve:
- Dismantle existing bluestone retaining wall
- Provide reinforced concrete footing as per drawings. Construct as part of new concrete footpath (new path contract has been awarded. You will need to liaise with contractor)
- Remove tree roots that are currently impacting the retaining wall. Roots to be cut carefully and cleanly and ends painted with appropriate root protective treatment. Trees are to be retained.
- Provide 100mm slotted socked Ag-pipe drain and geofabric - connect into existing kerb as per drawing
- Install 3mm x 600mm root barrier as per drawing
- Provide concrete retaining wall at rear of bluestone wall as per drawing
- Reassemble bluestone retaining wall to original form, price to include cleaning, repointing and all necessary costs.
- Replace missing bluestone blocks (capstones) to match existing
- Provide traffic and pedestrian management. A traffic management plan shall be provided to Council before commencement of work.
