Tender Description
The purpose of this project is to scope an update of the Austroads Guide to Asset Management to ensure it is the most fit-for-purpose asset management guidance available that best supports the needs of transport agencies and local government for the optimal management of road infrastructure.
Scope
This project will develop a scoping paper to give a clear understanding of the drivers for change to inform any potential progression to a project proposal and concept design for the evolution of the Guide. The efficient and effective revision and transformation of a document of this nature involves a multi-phased journey that must begin with robust planning.
This project will determine the scope of the update of the Guide and the extent of the changes – i.e., a review, or tweak, or rewrite or complete renewal. The project will provide an understanding of the Guide’s current-state against stakeholder and user expectations. It will involve a review of the Guide and the degree to which it is fit-for-purpose in meeting user needs.
Deliverables
This project will produce the following final deliverables:
- Data Management Plan
- Internal report – scoping paper
- Project data with populated metadata spreadsheet.
