Tender Description

Eligible Residential Aged Care Facilities through this program will receive a grant of up to AU$7,500 (GST Exc) from Adelaide PHN to purchase recommended telehealth equipment to facilitate virtual health consultations in their respective facilities and for education and training.

The program will provide training and education to participating RACFs and their associated primary health care practices to build or improve their capabilities to assist residents with accessing virtual consultation services. Participating RACFs will also be encouraged to use My Health Record to improve the availability and secure transfer of resident's health care information between RACF, primary care and acute care settings.

What your facilities and staff will receive:

Participating RACFs will receive as part of the Telehealth in RACF Program:
- Funding to purchase recommended telehealth equipment based on need.
- Free licenses to a Telehealth Video Conferencing Platform (Healthdirect Video Call)
- Training in how to use the Telehealth platform.
- Education on the appropriate use of telehealth for RACF staff and GPs.
- Resources and guides to support the implementation of the program including policy templates, workflows, FAQs etc.
- An upfront payment incorporated in the grant funding from Adelaide PHN to offset time taken by RACF staff to participate in training and education.
- CPD points for RACF nursing staff that participate in training and education.
