Tender Description
The Plastics, Burns and Maxillofacial department at Alfred Health performs reconstructive surgeries and has expertise in the following specialities:
- reconstructive microsurgery & replantation surgery
- hand surgery
- upper and lower limb trauma
- head and neck surgery
- burn reconstructive surgery
- breast reconstruction
- skin cancers and melanoma (in association with the Victorian Melanoma Service)
- implants (osseointegration) - craniofacial, hand, orthopaedic, bone anchored hearing aid
The facio-maxillary clinic primarily performs acute facial trauma along with secondary and elective surgeries including orthognathic procedures. The surgeries involve internal fixation using mandible/midface implants comprising of plates and screws. Alfred Health performs approximately 300 CMF surgeries per year.
The scope of this procurement activity is to appoint a single supplier to:
- Supply the suitable CMF devices on a consignment model to Alfred health for 3+3 years
- Provide the inventory management services with assistance from the staff
- Provide training to the clinical staff
Note: All tenderers will be asked to demonstrate their products whereby the clinical assessment of the devices may be conducted. The tentative date for demonstration is 4th Nov 2022. Further details will be notified shortly.
