The Rottnest Island Authority (‘the RIA’) is inviting EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST from suitably qualified Contractors to undertake the Design, Construction, and Maintenance Works for the replacement of the existing Flow Balance Tank (FBT) at the Rottnest Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
The existing Flow Balance Tank (FBT) is a 494KL enamelled glass reinfused steel, bolted panel tank that serves as the primary inflow storage tank into the Wastewater treatment Plant (WWTP), ensuring steady flow for the effective operation of the WWTP.
The scope of work for this Expression of Interest is for Work Package No 4 and includes but is not necessarily limited to the items outlined below.
- Demolish the existing FBT and remove all demolition material from Rottnest Island.
- Determine that the existing ground is capable of supporting the new FBT and confirm the existing tank footing is structurally sound and suitable to the new tank.
- Prepare detailed design drawings and as constructed drawings in PDF and DWG.
- Design a new FBT and obtain approval from the RIA as specified in Attachment A.
- Fabricate the FBT and transport to Rottnest Island.
- Construct the new FBT and make all connections to the existing pipework, pumps, valves and the like.
- All Quality Assurance and testing in accordance with an approved ITP.
- Undertake as constructed survey’s using a licensed surveyor and prepare as constructed drawings in PDF and DWG
- Defects liability and maintenance period of 10 years.
